This summer I will be packing my belongings into Luigi's trunk (my VW Rabbit) and heading east from 91702 to 80112. I will be leaving Azusa, CA and living in Castle Rock, CO for the months of June, July, and most of August.
I have been given an amazing internship at Nisoft, a software company based out of Englewood, CO. I have the opportunity to spend time in each department of the company. I will be learning about the operations, management, marketing, etc. processes within the company. I have so much to learn and am eager to do so! There will be various projects I will be working on, and at the end of the 10 weeks will submit and present to the company. One aspect of the internship that I am SO excited for (and you will likely be jealous of) is the one-week business trip I will be taking to the beautiful country of Ireland. NiSoft has an office in Belfast, Ireland and I will be teaming up with that office for a project. Rough life, right?
While in CO I will be living with my boss (also dad's friend from college), Doug Deardorf and his wife Rachel. They both are the sweetest people and I am excited to get to know them better!
One of my best friends and my current roommate, Molly, lives in Littleton, CO. Littleton is about 25 minutes away from Castle Rock, so I am thankful to have someone close by. We have brainstormed so many fun adventures for this summer. Hiking, tours, art classes, cooking attempts, and exploring the nightlife. I am so excited to have new territory to explore. I'm determined to make myself a local at a coffee shop before the summer's over. :)
